The decision to go this year came kind of late, and my intense procrastination requires enough time to be properly engaged and defeated. It's funny how out of place you feel not wearing a costume. Didn't do many tracks this year, but I hope to next year. I found myself mostly wandering around in awe of the costumes and the whole atmosphere. Your costumes _rocked_. Fantastic. Yours were the first real, well build costumes we saw after arriving, so they made quite an impression. Very awesome. And you're on for next year. He may not have had the ashes on, so it may have been the third one. The Sauron thing may have been a bit of inside baseball. My apologies. Friday night there was a guy in a really awesome Sauron costume, with the big helmet and the giant mace and everything. He looked fantastic. But at some genetic level, the desire to do battle with a big guy dressed in a Sauron costume was overpowering. Must be some kind of geek thing.
