I believe that Zeta was one of the best series in the Gundam franchise. Apart from that I think Gundam 00 did a great job at being a more modern attempt at the franchise as well. The only problem I had with the Zeta Gundam trilogy, is the fact that it sometimes comes across a bit rushed and certain things aren't explained. However, Zeta will always be one of my personal favorites.

As usual, great overview!

Wanted to point out some proof of your beliefs. In one of the recent Gundam Evolve shorts (short films set at various points in the Gundam franchise), we watch "Quattro Bageena" in an AEUG flight simulator, fighting a simulation of Amuro. He's defeated, which frustrates him. He then calls up a simulation of The Red Comet, and is again defeated. Fairly quickly. At which point he gets fed up and leaves the simulator.

So, it's now *canon* that Quattro is significantly worse in Zeta than he was in Mobile Suit Gundam. You were right!
